Monkey Bars

9 servings

4 bananas, mashed

¼ c sucanat or demerera sugar (or sugar of choice)

¼ c applesauce

¼ c nondairy vanilla milk

2 T ground flax seeds mixed with 6 T water, let sit for 10 minutes

1 t baking soda

1 t cinnamon

1 ¾ c whole wheat pastry flour or oat flour

½ to 1 c nondairy chocolate or carob chips

Mix all ingredients.  Bake at 350˚F in lightly greased (or parchment paper lined) 9×9 pan for cake-like bars (about 20 min) or large rectangular pan for thin bars (about 15 minutes).
